The management of the Federal University of Medicine and Medical Sciences, Abeokuta, FUMMSA, has officially commenced the release of admission for the 2026/2027 academic session.

The university announced that admission processing will be done through the JAMB Central Admission Processing System, CAPS. This means all candidates who applied to FUMMSA and participated in the Post-UTME screening are to check their admission status on JAMB CAPS.

FUMMSA is Nigeria’s first specialized federal university of medicine and medical sciences. The school admits students into various medical and health-related programmes, and admission is highly competitive.

Important information for candidates

FUMMSA management stated that admission is strictly based on merit, JAMB score, Post-UTME performance, and O'Level results. The release will be done in batches, so candidates who do not see their names in the first batch should keep checking CAPS regularly.

Candidates are also advised to be wary of fraudsters who claim they can offer admission for a fee. All admission processes are free and transparent. No staff of the university is authorized to collect money for admission.

For complaints or clarification, candidates can contact the FUMMSA admissions office through the contact details provided on the university’s official website.

Candidates are congratulated in advance and advised to monitor both their email, phone numbers, and JAMB CAPS for updates on registration and resumption dates.
