YABATECH RELEASES 2026/2027 POST-UTME AGGREGATE SCORE

By admin     1 month ago

The management of Yaba College of Technology, YABATECH, has officially released the 2026/2027 Post-UTME aggregate scores for candidates who participated in the screening exercise.

The release was announced on the school’s official portal and candidates are now expected to check their aggregate scores to know their admission status.

YABATECH, one of Nigeria’s foremost polytechnics, conducts a Post-UTME screening every year for candidates who chose the institution as their first choice during JAMB registration and also met the minimum cut-off mark. The aggregate score is what determines if a candidate will be considered for admission into their preferred course.

How YABATECH calculates the aggregate score

For the 2026/2027 academic session, YABATECH used the same formula from previous years. The aggregate score is calculated from both your JAMB score and your Post-UTME screening score.

JAMB score carries 50 percent while the Post-UTME score also carries 50 percent. This means both results are equally important in determining your final aggregate.

For example, if a candidate scored 260 in JAMB and 70 percent in Post-UTME, the system will combine both to produce the final aggregate that will be used for admission consideration.

How to check YABATECH 2026/2027 Post-UTME aggregate score

Candidates can now check their scores by following the steps below:

1. Visit the official YABATECH admission portal at http://www.yabatech.edu.ng

2. Click on the 2026/2027 Admission Screening link

3. Enter your JAMB registration number and password that you used during registration

4. Click on Login and then select Check Aggregate Score

5. Your aggregate score will be displayed on the screen. You can print it out for reference

Candidates are advised to use only the official YABATECH website to check their results in order to avoid fraud or fake portals.

What happens next after checking your score

The release of aggregate scores does not automatically mean admission. The next step is for the school to begin uploading names of admitted candidates on both the YABATECH portal and the JAMB CAPS.

Candidates whose aggregate scores meet the departmental cut-off marks will be considered for admission. Those who do not meet the cut-off for their first choice course may be considered for other available courses, depending on merit and available spaces.

All admitted candidates will be required to accept their admission on JAMB CAPS and proceed to pay their acceptance fee within the timeframe that will be communicated by the school.

Important notes for candidates

YABATECH management warned candidates to beware of scammers who claim they can upgrade scores or offer admission slots for money. All admission processes are merit-based and will be published on official channels only.

Candidates are also advised to keep checking their email, SMS, and the school portal regularly for updates on admission list, registration, and resumption dates.

For further inquiries, candidates can visit the Admissions Office at YABATECH Main Campus, Yaba, Lagos, or send a mail to the school’s official admission email.

Congratulations to all candidates who participated in the screening. Keep checking the portal as subsequent admission lists will be released in batches.
