Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) to commence its POST-UTME/DE for 2026/27 from 1st June, 2026.

The Federal University of Technology, Akure has commenced her registration for Post-UTME screening exercise into various COURSES/PROGRAMMES for the 2026/2027 Academic Session Starting from Monday, 1st June and ends on Friday, 3rd July, 2026.


ELIGIBILITY

Candidates who scored a minimum of 180 in the 2026 UTME conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and the Direct Entry (DE) candidates who made the Federal University of Technology (FUTA) their First Choice Institution are eligible for the screening exercise. In addition, each candidate must possess at least five (5) credit passes including English Language and Mathematics at not more than two (2) sittings in O’ level examinations conducted by WAEC, NECO and NABTEB or their equivalent. 


***Admissions into the MBBS programme which was earlier suspended has been reinstated. Therefore, interested qualified candidates may therefore apply.


PROCEDURE FOR APPLICATION

Candidates are required to:

i. visit the University application portal at firars.futa.edu.ng and begin the registration by supplying the candidate's UTME Registration Number

ii. After the Registration Number is verified, applicants will be required to make an application payment 

iii. complete and submit the University Post-UTME Application Form ONLINE; and 

iv. Print out a copy of the Registration Form.


REGISTRATION GUIDES

The Registration Form is mandatory for all eligible candidates to complete for the screening exercise. Please note that the candidate’s UTME Registration Number and the Full names (as it is on JAMB slip) be correctly provided at the point of payment and registration.


After payment, each candidate should visit the University website and complete the online Registration Form.


SCREENING FEE

The screening fee is Two Thousand (N2,000:00) Naira only payable at any Bank on Remita platform after generating the necessary code.


Candidates who fail to register within the stipulated period will not be eligible for the Screening.

Please note that any candidate who is not screened will not be considered for admission in the University. 


Also note that for any candidate to be considered for admission this year in the University, such candidate must have reached the age of 16 years with effect from 30th September, 2026. 


Also, candidates must ensure that their O’ level results are uploaded on JAMB CAPS on or before Friday, 3rd July, 2026. Failure to do this will render the affected candidates ineligible for admission.
