What is NABTEB and NCEE

The National Business and Technical Examinations Board, NABTEB, was established in 1992 to conduct examinations for technical and business innovation in Nigeria. Its mandate covers the National Technical Certificate NTC, National Business Certificate NBC, and the National Common Entrance Examination, NCEE, for admission into Federal Science and Technical Colleges. The

NCEE is conducted yearly for primary six pupils seeking admission into the 115 Federal Technical Colleges across the country. NABTEB aims to promote skills acquisition and technical education as an alternative to conventional grammar schools.

Why NCEE Matters?

The NCEE is the main entry route into Nigeria’s 115 Federal Technical Colleges. These schools offer technical, vocational, and science-based education from JSS1 to SS3, leading to NTC/NBC certificates. Graduates can proceed to polytechnics, universities, or go straight into skilled trades. With the federal government pushing technical education, admission into these colleges is becoming more competitive each year.

NABTEB has assured that the 2026 NCEE result was processed with transparency and the July 7 release date will be strictly adhered to.

Did your child write the 2026 NCEE? Drop the state and Federal Technical College you applied to in the comments. I will reply with the likely cut-off mark trend based on last year.
